At the same time, we take all complaints about misconduct very seriously.
The Professional Standards Unit investigates each complaint as quickly as possible. A member of the Professional Standards Unit, or their designee, may be in contact with you as soon as the investigation into your complaint has begun. The investigation of a citizen complaint is a complex matter. To conduct a thorough and unbiased investigation takes a significant amount of time. Some of the steps we may take to investigate your complaint will be to review police reports, review video and/or audio recordings and interview the involved parties and witnesses.
