Please help keep our community safe by carefully following the ban on fireworks in Brea. The sale, use or discharge of all fireworks are prohibited, even the “safe and sane” variety sold in other cities. Violators face a fine of up to $1000. We all know that fireworks are dangerous and can be harmful to you, your property and your pets. Did you know that according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission and average of 280 people go to the emergency room each day in the month around the July 4th holiday? Additionally, fireworks pose a serious fire hazard. Sparks from fireworks can travel to nearby homes or brush and ignite a fire. Please celebrate the 4th safely by following the fireworks prohibition. Visit one of the many professional fireworks displays around Orange County.
If you are able to identify an exact location of someone using fireworks, please report it by calling Brea PD’s non-emergency line at 714-990-7911. Thank you for your cooperation and patience as Brea Fire and PD prioritize such calls during the busy Fourth of July holiday period.
